New work in the studio

A lot has happened since my last post. Can't believe it has been almost a year.  Here are some images from the studio as I prepare for an upcoming exhibition in the George Gilmour Gallery at Open Studio in Toronto. This new body of work titled "Some Assembly Required"
will include an installation of etchings and screen prints on Gampi tissue and cast plaster sculptures.  Attached are several images of "works in progress". This new series of prints and print-based objects are based on invented categories belonging to the natural world and are gathered from the research and history of scientific illustrations and historical animal drawings. I recently visited Washington D.C and was overwhelmed by the Smithsonian museums and the various collections.  So inspirational that I can't wait to go back again. Truly inspired by the history of "collecting" and it's role within the museum.
